Christin Brown

Christin Brown is currently the Education Curator at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head, North Carolina.  She graduated in 2004 from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology.  During her undergraduate career she became interested in aquatic ecosystems, specifically how fish interact within their ecosystem and decided to pursue a Master’s degree.  During summer 2005, Christin accepted a position as a Master’s student studying Puerto Rico native stream fish populations at North Carolina State University under the direction of Dr. Thomas Kwak.  Two weeks after accepting the position, she was packed-up and moving to Boquerón, Puerto Rico, for her first field season.  After completion of her Master’s Christin accepted a position as a public educator at Cape Hatteras Secondary School of Coastal Studies (CHSSCS), in Buxton, North Carolina.  She taught at CHSSCS for three years where she gained experience working with North Carolina Standard Course of study and developing coastal themed curriculum.  In May 2011 she accepted a job at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head as the education curator and has been there happily ever since.
