Rhana Paris

Rhana Paris is the Outreach Coordinator for the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island, a state facility on the north end of Roanoke Island. She has worked with the aquarium for about 14 years total as well as for The Nature Conservancy for about 3 years. Rhana calls herself a naturalist and, as such, is a generalist with varied interests, from astronomy to local history to crafts to all things natural science. She earned a BS in biology from VA Tech, a MS from SUNY-Syracuse in environmental science, and a MA in science education from LSU—she can’t stop learning! She moved to the Outer Banks in 1994, married Paul in 1983 and became mom to Juli in 2003.
