Ann Daisey

Ann Daisey lives in Nags Head with her husband, son, and two dogs. She has lived on the Outer Banks for twenty years working in numerous roles in conservation, stormwater management, outreach, and environmental education. She currently is the Shoreline Surveyor for the Shellfish Sanitation and Recreational Water Quality Section in the state’s Department of Environmental Quality. She works to identify potential pollutant sources that affect our shellfish growing waters as well as collects and tests water samples to ensure water quality standards are met for shellfish harvesting and recreational activities.
Ann holds a Master of Science in Geosciences from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources with a minor in Forestry from Virginia Tech.
